At KM55 on a clockwise run of the North Loop, you will find St Mary’s Loch, and its sister loch – Loch of the Lowes – glistening under the southern Scottish sunshine (hopefully). The Glen Cafe which is nestled off the side of the road between the two lochs serves as your refreshment stop for this loop.
It’s definitely worth taking an extended break here to rest, recharge, and take in the scenery. If you have energy to spare and fancy a change of transportation, you can rent paddleboards and kayaks from the cafe at an hourly rate!
